I really like your poetry (the little I have seen so far), which show me that poetry in the Christian spirit is possible, can be hard edged, unsentimental and gritty.

The view you provide is simple and at the same time a challenge to dearly held concepts, such as an immortal part in us called soul, the possibility of soul growth through metempsychosis, the literal resurrection of new body and new mind, etc. An inner ‘correction’ process is happening, and I experience that as very liberating.

Thank you. Yes, it appears that people are finding their way to the real teachings bit by bit. It is all part of the Revelation we are experiencing in all areas. Everything is now being revealed for what it is: make belief, deception, lies about even the most fundamental things, e.g. the globe, etc. Your translation, I feel, is part of this stripping away of illusion(s). While reading your translation from beginning to end (alternating between the OT to the NT) I realise how much debris still has to be removed from my own thinking and understanding. My way to the Bible has often been in a meandering way, until over the last 10 years, with systematic study of the Greek, my understanding and perception got stabilised. However, I now realise that your translation was the missing piece, because despite reading the Greek of the NT, I was still dependent on the translation of key words, which kept me in the dark and in a kind of loop of conventional understanding just as before when I relied on different translations (NIV, Concordant, some original German Luther), etc.

Wonderful teaching Christopher, and thanks for sharing it. These kinds of solid truths are a wonderful bedrock of knowledge that helps keep so many other truths of God’s word centred in our minds.

Your translation opened the door for me to Paul’s letters, which I can now appreciate in all their profundity. I find some of Paul’s original Greek pronouncements mind bendingly difficult (in contrast to the straightforward Greek of the Gospels), and you unscramble Paul very elegantly.

I think what also is attractive to me is the psalms are songs that are supposed to be harmonious. This translation looks to translate in a way that brings back that harmony.

Your translation brings deep enjoyment and a sense of having arrived at a reliable base. It’s a very satisfying feeling.
